What is KP?
Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common, harmless skin condition that causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps, usually on the upper arms, thighs, cheeks, or buttocks, sometimes with redness or swelling. KP is often considered a variant of normal skin. It can't be cured or prevented. KP affects nearly 50-80% of all adolescents and approximately 30-50% of adults. In general, keratosis pilaris is cosmetically displeasing but medically harmless.
Keratosis Pilaris is caused by a buildup of keratin, the protein that protects skin from infections and other harmful things. The buildup forms a plug that blocks the opening of a hair follicle. These plugs usually form in groups, which result in the rough “chicken skin” texture that characterizes KP. The individual follicular bumps are often caused by a hair that is unable to reach the surface and becomes trapped beneath the keratin debris, but not all the bumps have associated hairs underneath.

Glycolic acid
Glycolic acid is the smallest α-hydroxy acid (AHA). This colorless, odorless, and hygroscopic crystalline solid is highly soluble in water. It is used in various skin-care products as Keratolytic agent which soften keratin protein on the outer layer of the skin. Because of its small size, glycolic can penetrate deep into the skin and encourage skin cells renewal.
Lactic acid
Lactic acid is an α-hydroxy acid (AHA) fround in yoghurt products. Lactic acid is Keratolytic similar Glycolic acid but is more gentle to the skin. It can also attract water molecules from the environement and locks down moistures.
Salicylic acid
